ASE Announced Today that Construction will Begin in Summer 2019 on the XEOS 13 Meter Engine Test Facility in Środa Śląska, Poland.
Aero Systems Engineering (ASE) is proud to be selected as a collaborative partner with GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik on designing and building the XEOS state-of the-art 13 meter engine test cell. The engine test facility will be able to prepare and test the GEnx and future GE9X turbofan engines all under one roof.

ASE, through its AeroSystems brand is the prime contractor for the complete turn-key engine test facility including constructing the test chamber, the engine preparation building and technical building and supplying all of the engine test equipment for the facilities. This includes the thrust stand, mechanical packages, aero dynamic turning vanes, inlet flow screen, augmentor tube, the acoustic bar silencers in the inlet and exhaust systems, and data acquisition and control system as well as the engine test adapters.

The facility, which is scheduled to be fully operational in early 2021, will be used to test engines for the Boeing 747-8 (GEnx-2B) and the new Boeing 777X (GE9X).
